Recommended Itinerary

DAY 01 - FLIGHT

Fly to Kathmandu on an indirect airline.

DAYS 2 & 3 - KATHMANDU

Arrive into Kathmandu; transfer to the Yak & Yeti for two nights; visit the city including Swayambhunath, Kastha Mandap and Kumari Devi; see the ancient capital of Patan and the Tibetan Handicrafts Centre; visit the World Heritage City of Bhaktapur.

DAYS 4 & 5 - BARDIYA NATIONAL PARK

Fly to Nepalgunj and transferred by road (2-3 hrs) to your Lodge in Bardiya National Park. Stay at the Tiger Tops Karnali Lodge for two nights. Activities here include birdwatching and Tiger Tracking, village walks and jungle walks. Bardiya National Park is home to the one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephants, Royal Bengal Tiger, gharials, swamp deer and over 400 species of bird.

DAY 6 - LUMBINI

A long drive today (6-7 hours) brings us to Lumbini – the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and one of the greatest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists around the world. Stay at Buddha Maya Garden Hotel for the night.

DAY 7 & 8 - CHITWAN

This morning’s drive to Chitwan takes 4-5 hours. Stay at the Jungle Villa for two nights. Chitwan National Park is said to be one of the best in South Asia, famous for its population of the one horned Asian rhinoceros, several species of deer, monkeys, sloth bear, spotted leopard, the Royal Bengal tiger as well as other mammals, birds and reptiles. Jungle activities include bird watching, nature walks, canoe ride, jungle walks, tribal village visit.
