Privacy and Cookie Policy
1. Why do we have this policy?
At Harji’s India, we take the security of the personal information we hold about our clients very seriously. This policy outlines the kind of information we collect when clients visit our website, give us a call or drop us an email. It also details why we hold this information and what we do with it.
2. When do we collect information from visitors?
We collect information when visitors visit our website, sign up for our newsletter, send us an enquiry by email or give us a call to discuss their holiday.
3. What sort of information do we gather?
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. Newsletter Sign up – we collect your email address when you sign up for our newsletter via the website, verbal request or other means such as sign-ups at travel shows. We will store your email in our database and may send you monthly emails. We never share your email with any third parties. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link, emailing us, or writing to us by post.
Holiday Quotation requests – When asking us for a quotation via the website, email or calling us, we will ask you for some personal information at the time of your request, in order to provide you the best service possible. This will include your name, email address and a telephone number. In certain circumstances, we may ask for your postal address, names of your travelling companions and your date of births. We will do this in case we need to hold international flights (without any obligations).
Bookings – When booking your holiday with us, we will collect your full names, email address, postal address, names of travel companions and passport details for all travellers. We will need this to book your holiday arrangements such as hotels, international flights, domestic flights, trains, internal road transportation and guide services. If booking with us through a travel agent, you will need to provide these details to them, who will then need to forward them on to us. Depending on your preferred mode of payment, we may collect your credit/debit card details. We may also need to collect additional information such as dietary requirements, religious requirements and allergy information. We also ask you to provide us with full travel insurance details. You can opt not to provide us this information by signing an indemnity form, absolving us of any claims should you choose to travel without adequate travel insurance.
4. Who do we share your personal information with?
If you are signing up for our newsletter, or asking for a quotation, we will never share the personal information you have provided with any third parties, except if holding international flights (without obligation), where we may pass on your names and date of births to the relevant airlines.
When making a booking with us and paying by credit/debit card, your card details will only be used to process the payment. No card details will be retained or stored by us. Your names and passport details will be shared with airlines, hotels and ground handlers, in order to ensure smooth functioning of your holiday. Please also note any information we hold may also be provided to security or credit checking companies, government authorities such as customs & immigration, and law enforcement agencies, but only if specifically required by them as per law.
